Delete your Fluenci account
This page explains how to delete your account in Fluenci, the AI language tutor app published by NovaWealth, and what happens to your data when you do.
How to delete your account
In the app (fastest)
- Open Fluenci and sign in.
- Go to Profile → Settings.
- Tap Delete Account and confirm.
Deletion starts immediately. When it finishes you are signed out and the account can no longer be used.
If you can't sign in
Email support@fluenciapp.com from the email address on your account with the subject "Delete my account". We will confirm the request came from you and delete the account within 30 days, usually much sooner.
Subscriptions are not cancelled by deleting your account. Cancel your subscription first where you bought it: for a web purchase, sign in at fluenciapp.com and open Profile → Subscription → Manage subscription; on Android, open Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Fluenci → Cancel; on iPhone, open Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Fluenci → Cancel Subscription.
If you own a school or organization in Fluenci, transfer ownership or delete the organization first. The app will tell you if this applies to you.
Delete some data without deleting your account
- What your tutor remembers. In the app, go to Profile → What your tutor remembers. Delete any note, or tap Forget everything to remove them all.
- Anything else. Email support@fluenciapp.com from the address on your account and tell us which data to delete. We will do it within 30 days.
What is deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes:
- Your account and sign-in details (email address, password, Google or Apple sign-in link)
- Your profile: display name, avatar and any generated portraits, learning goals and settings
- Your learning data: lesson progress, spaced-repetition cards and review history, CEFR level and proficiency evidence, writing and reading history
- Your conversations: chat messages with the AI tutor, live tutor transcripts and debriefs, and what the tutor remembered about you
- Your class memberships and assignment submissions
- Your remaining tutor minutes and referral codes
- In-app event records tied to your account
What is kept, and for how long
- Security audit log. Entries recording actions taken in a school's account are kept for the school's security review, but your name, user ID and IP address are removed from them first, so they no longer identify you.
- Backups. Deleted data can remain in encrypted database backups until those backups expire, within 30 days.
- Crash reports and product analytics. These do not contain your name, email or learning content; they carry only a random account ID, which no longer links to you once your account is deleted. They expire on our crash-reporting (Sentry) and analytics (PostHog) retention schedules.
- Purchase records. Google Play, Apple, RevenueCat, and Stripe (for web purchases) keep transaction records under their own terms, as tax and consumer-protection laws require. Fluenci does not store your full card details.
Voice recordings are never stored by Fluenci: audio is processed during your session and not kept.
